Please wear comfortable flat shoes. High heels, short or long skirts are not recommended for safety and comfort.

Bring a photo ID & arrive a bit early

Please bring valid photo ID and arrive a few minutes before your scheduled start.

Arrive sober – intoxicated guests cannot ride

Due to the nature of this activity, guests must arrive sober. We reserve the right to cancel your ride without a refund if you are intoxicated.

All guests must sign our general conditions

All participants are required to sign our general conditions of contract before the activity. Guests under 18 must have an adult sign on their behalf. Full terms are available here.

Groups of 10+ may be split for safety

For group bookings of 10 or more people, we may split the group into smaller teams and start them a few minutes apart for safer riding and to minimize disturbance of city traffic.

What is needed to participate?

  • Tours start in all weather conditions, please dress accordingly. In case of cold weather, wear layered clothing! High heel shoes and short skirts are not recommended.
  • Age limit: tour participants must be 14 years or older to drive (under adult supervision).
  • Please note that the weight limit is 130 kg (287 lbs)
  • You must have a valid photo ID card or a copy of your passport with you. One photo ID per group will be photographed as a deposit during the rental period.
  • Due to the nature of the activity, drivers must be sober during the tour. If you arrive intoxicated, we will be forced to cancel your ride without  a refund.

  • Please arrive a few minutes early to get set for your tour without any rush.

Do I need a driver's license?

No. Our MonsteRoller electic scooters qualify as e-bikes so a driving license is not required. The handling of them is very easy and you will have a short training and practice session before heading out.

What should I wear?

Comfort is key during your ride. Riding an e-scooter means it can get windy during the ride, so we recommend wearing layered clothing. High heel shoes and short skirts are not recommended.

Please note that bookings are valid whether rain or shine, but don’t worry: we can provide rain ponchos if it rains, and warm gloves when it gets cold.

Can I use the bike lanes with electric scooters?

Yes. Our MonsteRoller electric scooters qualify as e-bikes so you can use the bike lanes. In fact, our tour routes mostly use bike paths and we recommend using them during self-guided rides as well for the safest and most enjoyable ride.

Where does my e-scooter tour start from?

The Eat, Ride & Love starts from our downtown location at Bécsi utca 8, 1052 Budapest.It’s a 2-minute walk from Deák Ferenc tér metro station (lines M1, M2 and M3).

The tour ends at the same location.

I have some bags with me. Can I leave them at the store?

Sure. If you have bags that you’d like to leave with us for the duration of your tour, we can store your luggage safely and free of charge at our locations while you’re out discovering Budapest.

How many people are in a tour group?

Our tours are designed to be cozy and intimate experiences, with no more than 12 people in the group. We want to make sure we can ride together smoothly and that everyone gets a chance to ask their questions. If you prefer a more personalized tour with your own group, you can book a private tour by getting in touch with us.

We're a large group. Can we ride together?

We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone who’d like to ride and to make sure you can ride together with your entire group. However, in case of large groups of 10 or more people, we reserve the right to divide the group into more than one group and start them a few minutes apart for maximum safety, and in order to minimize disturbance to city traffic. Thank you for understanding.

What are the tipping customs in Hungary?

Tipping is not mandatory but it is always much appreciated. In general, you can aim at around 10%, but only if you’re happy with the provided services.

What if it rains?

Bookings are valid whether rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. But don’t worry: we can provide rain ponchos if needed, and gloves if it gets cold.

However, in case of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen events, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the activity until next availability. If we cancel for such reasons, you will receive a full refund.

Rescheduling tours: Tours can be rescheduled if given advance notice of more than 24 hours (based on availability). If you let us know within less than 24 hours that you cannot make it but would like to rebook for another date or time, or you don’t show up for your tour but would like to reschedule, you will be charged a rebooking fee of €15/person. Thank you for understanding.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellations are available up to 24 hours before start time. After then, a 100% cancellation fee is charged.

Rescheduling tours: Tours can be rescheduled if given advance notice of more than 24 hours (based on availability). If you let us know within less than 24 hours that you cannot make it but would like to rebook for another date or time, or you don’t show up for your tour but would like to reschedule, you will be charged a rebooking fee of €15/person. Rescheduling rentals: MonsteRoller e-scooter rentals can be rescheduled based on availability. If you cannot make it at the original booked time, let us know as soon as you can and our team will do our best to offer you alternate options – however, please note that it’s subject to availability and in high season, we may not be able to give you another suitable option due to a large number of reservations. Please note that if you are trying to reschedule within 24 hours and we cannot give you another suitable date, you will not be entitled to a refund.
