You don’t need a driver’s license to join our Budapest e-scooter tours or to ride a MonsteRoller. These scooters are allowed on the bike paths in the city and we use them wherever we can.
During our Margaret Island Fairy Garden Tour, we mainly travel on bike paths and use the traffic-restricted roads and paths on the island itself. You’ll also be led by one of our experienced guides, so you can ride with complete confidence.
Every tour begins with a short training session where your guide will show you how to use the MonsteRoller e-scooter, followed by some practice time.
If you don’t have much or any prior experience with bikes or scooters, this tour might be the best choice for you. Only a small part of the route involves bike paths with traffic, and you can ride completely hassle-free — just like over 100,000 of our satisfied guests!

No. Our MonsteRoller electic scooters qualify as e-bikes so a driving license is not required. The handling of them is very easy and you will have a short training and practice session before heading out.
Comfort is key during your ride. Riding an e-scooter means it can get windy during the ride, so we recommend wearing layered clothing. High heel shoes and short skirts are not recommended.
Please note that bookings are valid whether rain or shine, but don’t worry: we can provide rain ponchos if it rains, and warm gloves when it gets cold.
Yes. Our MonsteRoller electric scooters qualify as e-bikes so you can use the bike lanes. In fact, our tour routes mostly use bike paths and we recommend using them during self-guided rides as well for the safest and most enjoyable ride.
Our Fairy Garden tour visiting Margaret Island starts from our Buda side location at Várkert rakpart 16, 1013 Budapest. It’s a 3-minute walk from Döbrentei tér bus station (bus lines 8E, 108E, 110 or 112) or from Rudas gyógyfürdő station (bus lines 7 and 107; trams 19, 41 and 56).
The tour ends at the same location.

Sure. If you have bags that you’d like to leave with us for the duration of your tour, we can store your luggage safely and free of charge at our locations while you’re out discovering Budapest.
Our tours are designed to be cozy and intimate experiences, with no more than 12 people in the group. We want to make sure we can ride together smoothly and that everyone gets a chance to ask their questions. If you prefer a more personalized tour with your own group, you can book a private tour by getting in touch with us.
We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone who’d like to ride and to make sure you can ride together with your entire group. However, in case of large groups of 10 or more people, we reserve the right to divide the group into more than one group and start them a few minutes apart for maximum safety, and in order to minimize disturbance to city traffic. Thank you for understanding.
Tipping is not mandatory but it is always much appreciated. In general, you can aim at around 10%, but only if you’re happy with the provided services.
Bookings are valid whether rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. But don’t worry: we can provide rain ponchos if needed, and gloves if it gets cold.
However, in case of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen events, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the activity until next availability. If we cancel for such reasons, you will receive a full refund.
Rescheduling tours: Tours can be rescheduled if given advance notice of more than 24 hours (based on availability). If you let us know within less than 24 hours that you cannot make it but would like to rebook for another date or time, or you don’t show up for your tour but would like to reschedule, you will be charged a rebooking fee of €15/person. Thank you for understanding.
Free cancellations are available up to 24 hours before start time. After then, a 100% cancellation fee is charged.

Rescheduling rentals: MonsteRoller e-scooter rentals can be rescheduled based on availability. If you cannot make it at the original booked time, let us know as soon as you can and our team will do our best to offer you alternate options – however, please note that it’s subject to availability and in high season, we may not be able to give you another suitable option due to a large number of reservations. Please note that if you are trying to reschedule within 24 hours and we cannot give you another suitable date, you will not be entitled to a refund.
